Our Story
When I took a soap making course in Whitehorse 9 years ago, little did I know how much it would spice up my life.
After making a few batches for home use, I was hooked and delved into books to learn more about the craft. By the time I returned to my native Nova Scotia, with my four year old son, I was unemployed. Feeling confident there was a market for all-natural skin care products, I was determined to turn the opportunity into a business. Less than a year later, Spice of Life Natural Products was a reality.
With the support of family I was able to grow my business. Being a regular at our local farmers market only missing one week to give birth to my daughter. My commitment to my family and business was a changeling but I have worked hard to make this balance. In 2003 I took a aromatherapy course which encouged me to hired staff and educate others on the importance of using natural ingredients.
With research and development we now in 2009 have a line of soaps, natural air sprays, healing salves, lip balms, organic cleaner, outdoor creams that are truly natural. There is no need for testing our products on animals. We guarantee our products are 100% natural and stand behind them. After all your skin is the bodies largest organ and acts like a sponge, therefore if you can’t eat it you should not put it on your body.
We strive to provide products that are safe, ethical, environmentally sound. Products, which promote and maintain a healthy lifestyle for you and the earth. Spice of Life’s mission is to ensure the raw ingredients we use in our products are fair trade. Recently we took palm oil out of our products as it is being over-harvested.
Our footprint is small but our desire to create and please; larger then life. We hope you enjoy our products as much as we enjoy making them.
